Sri Thep, Phetchabun

Our urban planning & design team, Better Space, launches new projects on town planning and development for historical and cultural tourism for Sri Thep district in Phetchabun, a beautiful town amidst the mountains in northern Thailand.

One of the two towns we are planning for is Sri Thep, a historical town with archeological founds from 1,700 years ago in prehistoric period through Dvaravati and Khmer, periods. The town was rediscovered 115 years ago by Prince Damrong Rajanubhab. A quick trip to visit the town and talk to groups of local authorities and people gave us a good start to proceed on the planning process.

Sri Thep historical park is the site of multiple remaining of Hindu temples, Khmer castles, and city’s walls and moats.
